You got the gorgeous shots! The kids! the family! The images are fabulous! As you unpack the day’s camera equipment or other apparatus that needs electricity to run, you may notice some odd looking outlets. It’s just Costa Rica’s way of electrical design. Many three prong plugs will not fit into Costa Rica outlets. Though they are 110 voltages, la toma de corriente eléctrica often has just two even prongs, and no enlarged end. An adapter can be found at almost any Costa Rica hardware store – la ferretería. Look on-line and you’ll find examples of the types of adaptors needed. It doesn’t hurt to throw one in the photo-bag case before leaving.
